DICyDER-Studio: Woodward Hall, RM 306

The DICyDER Studio is one of the core facilities, which provides a working space for student study, seminar and project demonstration. The student study area and project demo area are equipped with PCs and the seminar space is equipped with multimedia workstations that include a computer integrated with projector, sound system, VCR and video presentation equipment. These facilities are available to all DICyDER members.

Future Home Network Testbed: Woodward Hall, RM 305A

This is designed to investigate security and privcay issues involved in future home network environment. This testbed has various electronic devices including wireless monitor, wearable computer, Plasma TV, smart board, wireless digital camera, media gateway, PDAs and so on. We have studied various practical scenarios that help us identify critical security requirements. One of projects focuses on an innovative access control framework for OSGi-enabled Home Network.

Honeynet Testbed: Woodward Hall, RM 307

A general definition of a honeynet is a network of computers that’s sole purpose is to be attacked by internet predators in order to record their steps and learn their motives and attack methods. Learning the methods behind these attacks are invaluable learning tools for students studying network security and forensics. Currently we are focusing on the capture and study of bots and botnets. We have collected over 300 binaries and counting.
